FinTechNZ: Innovation Roundtable: Shaping Future Retail Payments
Event description
Join us for an engaging online discussion at our FinTech innovation roundtable with the Commerce Commission’s Payments Team. Your input will contribute to the Commission’s decisions on recommending regulatory interventions.
The Commission is exploring pathways for more innovative payment options to promote competition and efficiency in the retail payment system for the benefit of consumers and merchants. As part of this, they have requested views on the existing barriers for payments made between bank accounts (view the paper here).
Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a pivotal conversation that will help shape the future of payment innovation in Aotearoa New Zealand. Let’s work together to create a vibrant and competitive payment ecosystem that benefits everyone.
Who should attend?
This roundtable is targeted at FinTechs (not bank API providers) and is separate from the study into personal banking services.
In addition, if you would prefer to provide feedback on an individual basis you can do so via a written submission or by meeting with the Commerce Commission if you feel unable to provide a written submission.
